The fight that everyone was waiting for is now on the brink of not happening. Tyson Fury, the heavyweight champion and former world champion, has controversially attacked his rival, Anthony Joshua, accusing him of 'cowardice' for not confirming the time and place of the anticipated fight.
Fury's Claim and Response to Joshua
In an insulting video on Instagram, Fury announced that Joshua is likely to withdraw from this fight and said, 'This just pushes me towards a fight with Oleksandr Usyk.' He also referred to Usyk's trainer, who is somewhat of a coach and mentor to Joshua, accusing him of lacking the courage to fight him.
Fury continued, 'He can never fight the Gypsy King, while you, Oleksandr, have done it twice. You won the last fight, and I congratulate you, but let's repeat this fight again. The ball is now in your court... Do you want to fight me this year, or are you thinking about ۲۰۲۶?'
Fight Location in Uncertainty
While it was expected that the location for the Fury vs. Joshua fight would be announced at Madison Square Garden in New York, it seems that Joshua's team prefers to hold this battle at Wembley Stadium. The promotional company, known as the sponsor of this fight, and Netflix are also looking to host this fight in the United States.
Currently, Fury is looking for a new opponent, and tensions between these two champions have reached a peak. Will Joshua be able to respond to this challenge, or will he soon step away from the heavyweight fighting scene?
